Everyday reading the newspaper has suddenly make me realised that im actually living in a very peaceful and safe place.
has any building collapse cuz of earthquake? or has buildings been destroy by cyclone?
it doesnt happen in singapore.
but sadly, countries like china and Myanmar are really unfortunate to have met wif such disaster. its not only buildings got destroy, houses got tored down, but thousands of ppl dying and millions left homeless.
you see in singapore, we are all living in luxuries. proper health care facilities, proper housing, sufficient food, good educations, wat ever u name it. but u see these countries tat got affected by the disaster, b4 even the quakes or cyclone hits them, they are already lacking alot of wat we have.
whats now after they get hit by some shit disaster, they are almost left with nothing. even wif all the relief workers and aids from many countries, its gonna take a few years for these countries to recover to its original state. and WHATS MORE IS THAT THE GOVERNMENT OF THE AFFECTED COUNTRIES EVEN DELAYED THE ALLOWANCE OF AIDS INTO THEIR COUNTRY!!
how wtf can it be if ur people require immediate aids and u dilly dally take ur time and thinking whether to allow foreign countries relief to enter ur country?! seriously men. the total death toll for jus the quake along is like over tens of thousand already. and some out there buried underneath those collapsed building may still be alive!
ok enough of politics.
jus wondering what is our world coming to rite now? has anyone of my level sat down and think about all the natural disaster occuring all around the world? not rly. even if we did think bout it, wat more can we do.
Singapore’s weather has been increasingly hot these days. has it got something to do wif the 2 disasters tat occured recently? is singapore still going to be safe-free from all these disaster?
no 1 has the answer.
wif the increasing number of ppl dying everyday due to the quakes and cyclone, we can really tell how human lifes are just so vulnerable. actually the msg im trying to give out wif this post is not about asking u to help the needys ( even thou we shld help ), but the msg is that we all shld really enjoy the ‘today’ as we may not know whats going to happen tomorrow.
like teachers always say, tomorrow never come. Its always today.
